The staff of the Gender Equity Unit  lecturer Wafaa Shaker Ibrahim, director of the unit, and Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Al-Shawi, deputy director of the unit, Dean of the College of Sciences, Dr. Mowaffaq Fadel Al-Shahwan, for the purpose of starting a cooperation between the two parties in order to clarify the principles and message of the Social Diversity Unit and the moral support it will provide to the teaching staff, staff and students. The unit's work program was reviewed by providing awareness and educational workshops and lectures in all aspects of society, and the expansion plans of the unit within the University of Basra were also outlined.
